Crossroads UNITED CHURCH WOMEN

Who We Are
We are a group of women of all ages who meet on the second Wednesday of each month to follow the UCW purpose:

To unite women of the congregation for the total mission of the church and to provide a medium through which we may express our loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian witness, study, fellowship and service". What we do
We maintain a spiritual connection to each other and offer friendship and support in good times and bad.

We study and learn together.

We work as a team at fund-raising events supporting both our church and the Mission and Service Fund ans we also support local charities such as Ryandale House and Interval House.

We are active on the Pastoral Care Team visiting shut-ins and nursing homes, and helping with the Christmas Cookie project.

We collect things:
Campbell soup labels to help Trudel Public School purchase supplies

pop can tabs in support of the wheelchair project

pop cans for Habitat for Humanity

used eyeglasses, frames and lenses to be used in third world countries

recently we started collecting large outer milk bags which are crocheted into plastic sleeping mats to help children in Haiti at risk from soil parasites

Monthly craft afternoon

Last Friday of each month to prepare for Bazaar items and to have a cup of tea with friends. All are welcome
