If Your Worries Get You Down

If your worries get you down;
or your life won't turn around;
is there more bad news yet to come?
*When your trials just won't stop,
with another shoe to drop,
does your outlook seem truly glum?
There is hope; the strife will pass;
there's a way through this morass;
and your troubles will fade away.
Don't give up and you'll prevail;
if you hang_ on, you won't fail,
then you'll soon find a brighter day.

**If your engine just won't go
or your wheels are stuck in snow,
is there more bad news yet to come?
Problems hit you like a truck,
and you're cursing your bad luck;
does your outlook seem truly glum?
Then reach out past your despair;
for you still have much to share;
and your troubles will fade away.
Having faith will keep you strong
and will give the world a song,
then you'll soon find a brighter day.

When you lose someone that's near
or you've had an awful year,
is there more bad news yet to come?
When you find yourself in grief
and your ache has no relief
does your outlook seem truly glum?
Lift your burdens to the Lord,
for your pain won't be ignored;
and your troubles will fade away.
You won't walk this road alone;
you can face the great unknown;
then you'll soon find a brighter day.

If your baby won't stop crying,
still upset despite your trying,
is there more bad news yet to come?
Keeps you up throughout the night,
you're worn out by morning light,
does your outlook seem truly glum?
Though the diapers are a mess,
and you're pooped from all the stress,
soon your troubles will fade away.
For that ball of constant snarling
has become a little darling
and you've now reached a brighter day.

When your efforts are in vain
or your bank account is drained,
is there more bad news yet to come?
If your song can't find a rhyme,
will it come to you in time?
Is your outlook still truly glum?
Stay the course, and see it through;
persevere in what you do,
and your troubles will fade away.
Find the joy in simple things;
hum a tune or even sing;
then you'll soon find a brighter day.

or those lockdowns cause dismay
**If your battery's a dud,
or your wheels are stuck in mud
